Renaming Digital Photos Automatically:

Stumbling upon this cool trick from Derrick Story may be a little late for me but it's really worth sharing. :)
If you want to give your digital pictures descriptive labels but wouldn't want to go through the tedious process of renaming them one by one, then you'll appreciate this hack. Btw, this works only for Windows XP.

1. Open the folder containing the pictures you want to rename.

2. Select all pictures that you want to rename.

3. Right click on the first picture you selected then click on "Rename" from the drop-down menu.

4. Type in the new name for this group of pics, e.g., "At_the_Airport" , then press Enter.

This will rename all selected pics to At_the_Airport, At_the_Airport (1), At_the_Airport (2) and so on.

Cool, isn't? :)

Why didn't I learn about this when I was compiling my digital pics last month? **sigh**

Oh well, at least we're aware of it now. :)

A Trip Down Memory Lane

After months of procrastination, I finally finished compiling hundreds of printed and digital pictures into albums. These pictures date from 1999 to early 2006!!! Yes, you read it right..almost 7 years! Compiling the pictures not only meant cleaning my 'memory box' but it actually brought me to a trip down memory lane...the places I've been to, the people I've met, the moments I treasure.

To add to the pics, my 'memory box' also safekeeps Paul's letters to me, and my letters to him...so in one of my September afternoons, I found myself reading through the letters...some made smile, some brought tears to my eyes but each one reminded me of the love we have shared and continue to share together...

And so I want to keep a piece of that reminiscing trip here.
Well, not the love letters of course, just some chosen pics. Whenever I feel nostalgic and want to have a glimpse of the past, I would just read this post. :)
