Review : My Thai Kitchen @Greenbelt 3

--- pangit ang interiors, mukha ngang kitchen. Ang maganda lang dun may mga divisions sila, so kung may group meeting kayo, pwede nila close yung isang area for you.

--- when I saw that big buddha-like figure inside, I easily recognized that this used to be Temple Bar and Restaurant, one of my favorite restaurants in Greenbelt nung nagwowork pa ko. Kaya lang ang Buddha na dating gold, pininturahan ng gray. Yup, hindi silver, gray! Siguro binagay na interiors, pero ang pangit tingnan.

--- ang food, very very oily! Yung pad thai, so so lang lasa. Ang salted garlic squid, you have to eat the fried garlic together with the squid para ma-appreciate mo.

Another hiritan moment with Papa Paul...

Yuro (holding a pocket mirror) : O tingnan mo mommy, di ba, ang dami mo pimples?
Paul : Anak, kahit maraming pimples yang si mommy mahal na mahal ko yan. :)

Naks, naman. O di ba? ang sweet ng asawa ko? Kilig na sana ako kaso may punchline pala...

Paul : Lilinis din yan! hahahaha!

Kainis! gusgusin pala ang dating ko!

On all fours, cleaning the floor

This would probably be the way I'll describe my summer this year. Not that I do it everyday (oftentimes I use the mop, hehe) but this was how I either began or ended my days this past few weeks all because my yaya who was supposed be on vacation decided not to return to work anymore. Some people would probably think I was making a big deal out of it. There are lots of fulltime moms out there who don't have household help. Well, I guess it's just that I was caught a bit off guard. For the past four years, I'm used to having household help. Also, I was looking forward to this summer after a tiring school year but it turned out to be more tiring. What's more frustrating is I have to scrap some of my plans for this quarter.
But looking on the positive side, a yayaless home has its own benefits - nalinis ang mga sulok-sulok na pwede na palang tamnan ng camote; naunclog ang barado na palang drain ng terrace, nakita ang mga laruang akala eh nawawala yun pala eh naghalo-halo lang or nasa kung saan-saang ilalim lang, 24x7 bonding time with the kids, bawas konsumisyon, bawas iisipin sa almusal, walang umaalingasaw na pabango, walang umaalingawngaw na birit...
I've weaned Yuro from bottle feeding and he's now potty trained during the day. :)
But I'm still hoping I'll be able to get a new yaya soon for I really miss my weekend afternoon dates with Paul. :)
