Last weekend was all about toys.
Saturday, we went to the 9th Philippine ToyCon. It's not a toy fair for kids, it's one for the kids at heart, boys at heart to be more precise. There we saw collections of toys that probably no kid could have for they were so expensive, so expensive that they're probably more for display than play. The collections were really wow, they were a feast for the eyes....Transformers, G.I. Joe, Lego, Justice League and many more. Yuan was in awe. And I too was awed at how guys could have such love for toys that they would actually spend hard earned money for those. And of course, I took care of the kids as we let Paul tour the halls by himself, moment niya yun eh. hehehe. The fair was worth the 100Php entrance fee.
Sunday, we watched Toy Story 3 in 3D. Yuan loves Toy Story. He's watched Toy Story 1 and 2 several times. Toy Story was even the theme when he had a simple 3rd birthday celebration in playschool. So I thought we simply cannot miss this movie and I was right. The movie is a must see. It's very entertaining...funny and sweetly sad at the same time.
Toy Story 3 is Yuro's first trip to the movie house. It's a pretty late start for him. Yuan had his first taste of the movie house at 21 months, Yuro is now at 33 months. Well, they're two very different kids, Yuan was a well-behaved toddler, Yuro is a little more hyper - he moves and talks a lot and that was what he did in the movie house. Paul made a wise choice to sit us at the farthest part of the cinema. With no other patrons occupying the other seats on that level, Yuro kept playing with the chairs. And he talked a lot "Mommy bakit wala ilaw?", "Mommy, sino yan, yang kulay purple?" "Mommy, bakit siya iyak?", etc. Well, at least we were able to finish the movie. :)
